Woman Dies at Airport: Cause of Death Revealed

You may remember the woman who died in a holding cell at the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. Well, the autopsy conducted to reveal her cause of death was completed today and shows that she accidentally strangled herself. Carol Anne Gotbaum, 45, of New York was arrested for disorderly conduct and was intoxicated when she was detained by airport officers on September 28, 2007. Surveillance cameras showed her running through the airport irately. Three officers tried to catch her as she fled in order to board her plane to Tucson, Arizona. Since she was late, attendants did not allow her to board the plane and she became uncontrollably angry. Officers then arrested her and put her into a holding cell where she later died. She was on her way to a rehab center.

Our prayers and deepest sympathy our with her family.

Don't drink and fly, people!
